LeBron Raymone James Sr. is an American basketball player who is a player for the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. James is known by the name of King James and is considered to be among the greatest basketball players of all time. James was awarded two Olympic golds, as well as four NBA championships. James has the highest points in the playoffs with the second-highest number of points in his career and is the seventh player with the most ever assists. This is an NBA record for him to be an NBA All-Star for 18 years. The ten NBA Finals is the most ever before, with eight of them consecutively from 2011 to 2018; he was also selected for the team for NBA's 75th anniversary. James was chosen to join the NHL75th Anniversary Team. And in 2022, he became the first NBA player in history to earn more than 10,000 career points. James played basketball for St. Vincent St. Mary High School, which is located in his hometown in Akron Ohio and was heavily in the news media for his potential as an NBA superstar. He was in the process of becoming a professional and was the first choice of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Draft of 2003. Following his selection as 2004's NBA Rookie of the Year, he quickly established himself as an elite player within the NBA winning the NBA's MVP Award both in 2009 and 2010. James was a free agency in 2010, after he failed to earn championships in Cleveland. The decision to leave Cleveland for Miami Heat, announced on The Decision, a popular television show The Decision, is considered among the most controversial free agent moves in sports history.
