Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is an American performer and actress. Born and raised in Huntington Woods Michigan as the daughter of Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) - and Tom Bell - a television director. She's an American actress and singer. She is of Polish descent (mother), and German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen developed a talent to perform on a young stage. Her role was as Raggedy Ann in 1992 after attending her first audition. Bell had an agent appointed by her mother at the age of 13 and was subsequently cast as a model for newspapers and television commercials. Bell also began taking private acting classes around that time. Bell was credited with a minor part in the film Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School and was part of music and drama clubs. The school's stage production The Wizard of Oz, Bell won the role of Dorothy. Bell was then transferred in New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She studied musical theater there. Bell was a graduate in 2001, left her college studies in order to take on the role Becky on Tom Sawyer. Also in 2001 when Bell's debut appearance was in a movie that had been credited, Pootie Tang (2002). Unfortunately her scene has been cut out and the credits only depict her. The year 2002 saw her first major role. Bell made an appearance on The Crucible, a Broadway version of The Crucible with Liam Neeson as well as Angela Bettis.
