The league was launched in May of 2012. Garena launched its Garena Premier League (GPL) that is a 6-month online professional gaming league with more than 100 games scheduled being played. In the first season, GPL is comprised of a League of Legends competition which comprises six professional teams. These teams feature the very best athletes from their respective countries.
